Thanksgiving

We were lucky to find Laura, a dressage trainer outside of Savannah. Josephine was able to ride with her several times while we were in town. Upon our sail up North, Josephine hopes to been able to lesson at Legacy International Dressage again.

We had a great Thanksgiving together. We started the day with a 4 mile Turkey Trot that raised money for United Way. The course wrapped through small neighborhood streets with picturesque Spanish Moss, some residents were out cheering, we got rained on for a bit. Addy beat us all with Josephine and Queso taking up the rear on family placements.

Whole foods made our entire dinner which was great because the boat oven is not very reliable. We all feasted and even Queso got a dinner plate.

Addy flew back to California the next day and it was hard to say goodbye at the airport. Only consolation was that we were sending her off to a place that she has fallen in love with. She spent the night in Santa Cruz before driving back up to college. Auntie Jo took her on an ocean swim.

We stayed on in Savannah to do some boat projects (Nate seen here completing radar install) and rest from sailing over 700 nm in the month of November!

Though a bit “rustic” the Bull River Marina was good stopping place.
